Role Summary:

We are looking for a well rounded Product Designer to help define the customer experience across our digital platforms. From ideation to implementation, the Product Designer will work under the supervision of a Senior Product Designer, Product Manager, and developers to bring the ideal design solution to fruition. You possess excellent visual and user interface design skills, as well as user-centered design principles. While exercising a keen eye for detail, you are able to communicate highly complex issues and translate them into clean, and user centered solutions. You will be responsible for researching, designing, and prototyping user experiences based on product requirements.

Key Qualifications:

• Must be vaccinated against COVID-19 and, if hired, present proof of vaccination prior to beginning employment.
• Bachelor’s degree in design or related discipline.
• 1-2 years of experience as a product designer or similar role.
• Fluency in best practices for mobile and tablet design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques.
• Highly collaborative.
• Experience designing for various screen sizes and fully responsive web experiences.
• Ability to translate features across various platforms leveraging native functionality (web, iOS and Android)
• Experience designing or contributing to design systems.
• A strong portfolio which demonstrates problem-solving in the various phases of user-centered design across desktop and mobile.
• High-Level proficiency in Figma and Sketch
• Excellent in person and remote communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills – including the ability to communicate design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and disciplines.

Role Description:

• Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and final deliverables based on requirements.
• Cultivate a deep understanding of Saks’ existing product experience across platforms as well as our design system to ensure future iterations are executed with a cohesive experience.
• Work closely and collaboratively with UX Researchers, Product Managers, Engineers and various business stakeholders to fulfill the overall product/feature vision.
• Build out multi-version comps for user testing and iterate based on learnings.
• QA developed features for visual perfection, and provide detailed feedback to engineering towards revisions.
• ​​Maintain and support design systems and shared design libraries.
