As a leading clothing retailer of finer menswear based in Toronto and operating in major centres across Canada, an exciting and challenging opportunity exists for a Full Time Social Media Lead position within the Marketing Department.
Reporting to the Manager Content & Social Media, the Social Media Lead will oversee the multi cross-functional social media strategy (organic) on time and budget to increase engagement on Harry Rosen’s social media accounts & growth in new followers, while building Harry Rosen’s brand credibility and engaging its community. This role is responsible for conceptualizing and social-led content and managing both internal and external collaborators.
The successful candidate for this role, is highly interested in fashion, retail and is passionate about the growth and development of our social media community, and be responsible for the following key areas:
Create new strategic thinking across the board and optimize performance across all social media activations.
Adopt Editorial content from web and newsletters for use on relevant social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, et. al.)
Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure consistency and build productive relationships within Harry Rosen, paid media, merchandising, web publishing, etc.
Lead evaluation, monitoring and reporting of social media platforms, while partnering with the analytics teams.
Produce live posts and content from store events and activations.
Look after content creation (iPhone, camera) and editing (with programs like Photoshop) for Instagram and TikTok.
Collaborate with influencer/partner team to identify talent, products and campaign moments.
Support the growth of social channels with a focus on engagement and accessibility through daily social media campaigns and activities
Stay current in social media and digital marketing trends; continuing to educate wider teams on innovations, creative strategy, and maintain digital leadership within the industry
Create and enforce social publishing and engagement best practices
Oversee content development for daily posts across all channels. (excluding WeChat, Red & Weibo)
Manage work back, program flow and implementation with both internal and external teams ensuring all program deliverables are met on brand and on time
Oversee marketing briefs for all social media marketing programs ensuring accuracy with timing, targeting as well as lead all approvals for programs
Interest and knowledge of fashion (particularly menswear) social media, popular culture, digital trends and retail
Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Fashion Communication, Business, or another relevant field
Minimum of 4+ years of proven related work experience – specifically in social media marketing
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), experience with social media platforms and tools
In-depth knowledge of social media and emerging channels
Experience in content creation
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written (Bilingualism an asset)
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Strong interpersonal skills; who is autonomous but works well with others, who can both lead and contribute when needed
Experienced multi-tasker, able to be flexible and adapt in a face-paced environment
Highly service-oriented with exceptional organizational and follow up skills
Experience in retail, an asset
