Job Description

Role Summary:

Responsible for the site merchandising of men’s shoes and accessories using a data driven approach to optimize the customer experience to achieve sales and conversion growth plans. The role is highly cross-functional, working directly with the Director & Manager of Category Growth as well as marketing, content development, product set-up and buying teams to flawlessly merchandise the site.

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of digital retail experience providing a foundation in ecommerce KPIs. Experience working in an ecommerce merchandising role is preferred. An understanding of the luxury retail landscape and customer is a plus
  • Displays strong analytical and problem-solving ability to help guide merchandising decisions and develop new, innovative ideas to drive the business
  • Works well with cross functional teams to execute business strategies
  • Demonstrates eagerness to learn and contribute to developing business objectives through thoughtful analysis of the business and competitive landscape
  • Follows & stays on top of fashion and customer to dictate merchandising and marketing decisions
  • Displays a constant desire to think of innovative ways to drive the business and is willing to think outside of the box without being held back by existing limitations
  • Must have proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and v-lookup) and capacity to learn new systems swiftly. Experience with Adobe Analytics and Salesforce Business Manager is preferred

Role Description:

  • Supports with Director and Manager of Category Growth in analyzing data and reporting insights of the business to business stakeholders along with actions to achieve business objectives
  • Ensures merchandising of Saks.com is aligned with best practices and executed in a timely manner (ex. navigation, product array, search results, features items, linking strategy, etc)
  • Works closely with Digital Content, Media, and Integrated Marketing teams to define and execute the merchandising strategies within marketing plans and evaluates the effectiveness for the category
  • Partners closely with Merchant teams to understand key trends, receipt investments, and shipment tracking.
  • Analyzes onsite customer journey, promotional data. and external marketing performance to provide timely insights and recommendations to identify areas of opportunity or to scale experience
  • Leads various projects within Category Growth which demonstrates proficiency of site merchandising capabilities and operational knowledge
  • Fields ad hoc requests, present findings and proactively deliver recommendations that inform strategy. Synthesizes large data sets into digestible takeaways that drive action
