Alterations Associate

As an Alterations Associate at our New York Boutique, you will be responsible for providing professional and timely alterations services to our customers. You will work closely with Sales Associates to ensure exceptional service during fittings and alterations.

• Fit, alter, repair, and make made-to-measure clothing according to customer and manufacturing specifications.
• Partner with Sales Associates to provide exceptional service during fittings.
• Assemble garment parts and join parts with basting stitches using needles and thread or sewing machines as necessary.
• Ensure proper sizing and alterations according to sales associates and customer requirements.
• Communicate with clients to understand their needs and explain the alterations process.

• Minimum 4 years of experience in boutique or store environments, ideally with luxury garments.
• Knowledge of all alterations equipment and experience in sewing dresses and altering high-end materials.
• Ability to interact with clients during fittings.
• Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently under pressure.
• Responsible and able to complete projects on time.
• Physical ability to bend, kneel, and lift garments up to 10lbs during fittings.
