Asset Protection Agent - Roosevelt Field

Summary

The Asset Protection Agent is responsible for protecting customers, employees, store assets, and merchandise by preventing and investigating theft and safety incidents. This role partners with store leadership, emergency response teams, and law enforcement to maintain a safe shopping environment and support shrinkage reduction initiatives. The agent uses investigative tools, surveillance, and RFID data to identify trends and resolve incidents.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality apprehensions and resolve theft incidents in accordance with policy and procedures.
• Monitor video systems, leverage RFID data, and use reporting tools to identify theft trends and support investigations.
• Investigate internal and external theft by gathering evidence and preparing incident reports.
• Respond to, escalate, and report store security, safety, and emergency incidents, and participate in Emergency Response Team training.
• Lead security audits, implement merchandise protection standards, and drive shrinkage reduction action plans.
• Build partnerships with store leaders, neighboring retailers, and local law enforcement; testify in court when summoned.

• Clear verbal and written communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Maintain confidentiality and a calm demeanor when handling aggressive behavior or safety issues.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on business needs and meet state/local licensing requirements.
• Experience in investigative, asset protection, or security procedures preferred.
