Summary

The Asset Protection Agent helps keep customers, employees, merchandise, and store spaces safe. The role reduces shrink through investigations, surveillance, merchandise protection, and partnership with store teams and local law enforcement.

Responsibilities

• Resolve theft and conduct apprehensions in accordance with policies and leadership guidance.
• Identify theft trends using reporting, surveillance, video systems, and RFID data.
• Support internal theft investigations, gather evidence, and prepare complete incident reports.
• Respond to security and emergency incidents, participate in the store Emergency Response Team, and support safety training.
• Partner with store leaders, neighboring retailers, and law enforcement; testify in court when summoned.

Requirements

• Use sound judgment and make accountable decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrate clear verbal and written communication, strong interpersonal skills, and confidentiality.
• Maintain a calm demeanor during safety incidents, including aggressive behavior.
• Be able to work a flexible schedule and meet applicable state and local licensing requirements.
• Experience in investigations, asset protection, or security procedures is preferred.
