Asset Protection Investigator

Summary

Responsible for monitoring shortage results, conducting investigations and apprehensions for internal and external theft, and implementing store safety and awareness programs under direction of management at a Saks Fifth Avenue location. Trains store associates on asset protection policies and maintains integrity of physical inventory through reports and audits.

Responsibilities

• Monitor shortage reports and control measures daily and monthly
• Investigate internal and external theft incidents and support apprehensions
• Implement store safety and awareness programs
• Train store associates on asset protection policies and procedures
• Organize and conduct annual store inventory
• Develop shortage strategies for merchandise groups and paperwork controls
• Maintain and review audits and inventory integrity
• Perform ad hoc asset protection responsibilities as needed

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years asset protection experience in retail
• Certification required where applicable by jurisdiction
• Ability to learn company standards, procedures, and IT applications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Wicklander-Zulawski certification a plus
