Assistant Buyer - North America

Summary

Support the development, selection, and in-season management of product assortments across North America. Partner with merchandising, planning, allocation, retail, wholesale, and headquarters teams to align assortments with brand identity, regional needs, and commercial goals.

Responsibilities

• Support seasonal buying sessions, style and quantity selection, order entry, buy tools, line sheets, and assortment recaps.
• Monitor product performance, sales, margin, sell-through, inventory, and deliveries; recommend reorders, replenishment, transfers, or consolidations.
• Partner with stores on product knowledge, assortment priorities, storytelling, training resources, and selling strategies.
• Research trends, competitor assortments, and client preferences to inform buying decisions.
• Prepare performance reports and end-of-season analyses, and coordinate with cross-functional teams on product priorities and timing.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in merchandising, buying, or planning within luxury or premium fashion.
• Strong analytical skills, Excel proficiency, and familiarity with merchandising or buying systems.
• Understanding of product lifecycle, retail KPIs, and fashion trends.
• Excellent communication, organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Ability to balance creativity with commercial objectives.
