Summary
Lead the sales floor to ensure a memorable customer shopping experience while generating revenue and positive operating profit. Partner with the General Manager to develop leadership skills, coach the team, and uphold company culture and service standards.
Responsibilities
- Drive sales and profit performance for the assigned department.
- Work with management to develop operating budgets and monitor financial performance.
- Set individual sales goals and supervise sales staff to maximize results.
- Maintain a welcoming in-store environment that builds customer loyalty.
- Coach and mentor staff to deliver exceptional customer service and implement initiatives.
- Provide feedback to buying and allocation teams on high-potential merchandise.
- Execute visual presentation standards and maintain merchandise presentation.
- Implement loss prevention and asset protection procedures to reduce shrink.
- Recruit, supervise, and develop staff and support promotional strategies.
Requirements
- Enthusiasm for projecting an elevated brand image and character.
- Ability to guide and motivate staff toward goal achievement.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Analytical business and financial acumen.
- Relevant retail work experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Workday, and Outlook preferred.
- Ability to operate register and be on feet for multiple hours.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and climb a ladder as trained.
