Summary
The Assistant Manager, Outbound Operations manages day to day outbound department operations, supporting the department Manager through staff and workflow management to ensure accurate order servicing, proper packaging, and timely shipping. The role provides direction, development, scheduling oversight, timesheet accuracy, and assists with implementation and monitoring of new processes and projects. The position supports projects and continuous improvement to meet luxury brand and customer expectations.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily outbound operations to ensure orders are closed out accurately and shipped on time
- Supervise, coach, and develop staff to build a high performance team
- Create and maintain schedules to ensure adequate coverage and accurate timesheets
- Set and communicate clear goals aligned with brand and customer expectations
- Drive process documentation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Plan and forecast department needs based on historical trends and financial goals
- Support small and large scale projects that support business strategy and growth
- Ensure compliance with health safety and operational policies
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to resolve operational issues
Requirements
- Bachelor degree
- 3 years business experience with strong operational background
- Prior supervisory or team leadership experience
- Experience with luxury product or in retail manufacturing or distribution
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook Excel Word and Powerpoint
- Excellent communication problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong client orientation and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
- Flexible schedule with ability to work overtime including possible weekends
