Assistant Store Manager

Summary

The Assistant Store Manager partners with the Store Manager to lead the store team and ensure excellent customer service, strong sales performance, and adherence to visual merchandising and operational standards. This role supports recruitment, training, coaching, and performance management, and acts as the senior store leader in the Store Manager's absence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the store team to achieve and exceed sales goals and store KPIs
• Deliver exceptional customer experience and lead clienteling efforts
• Coach sales associates on product knowledge, styling, and selling techniques
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention of store staff
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure product presentation and replenishment
• Manage opening and closing procedures, timekeeping, and daily/weekly reporting
• Partner with stock team on cycle counts, transfers, receiving, and inventory processes

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years retail sales experience with at least 2 years supervisory responsibility
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
• Strong computer skills (MS Office) and familiarity with retail systems such as Teamwork
• Proven leadership, coaching, and customer service skills
• Ability to develop clientele and represent the brand; willingness to relocate preferred
