Summary
The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in daily operations to optimize sales performance, manage inventory, and deliver exceptional luxury client service. This role involves coaching the store team, participating in hiring, and ensuring operational excellence across all store activities.
Responsibilities
- Support Store Manager in leading the sales team and delegating tasks to meet performance goals.
- Identify opportunities to optimize sales growth and operational efficiency.
- Facilitate communication between store team, Store Manager, and corporate partners.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with top clients and manage VIC initiatives.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and feedback to foster team development and career growth.
- Participate in scouting and selection of new team members with HR partners.
- Oversee inventory management including cycle counts, stock consolidations, and fiscal inventory.
- Manage after sales processes such as alterations and repairs and report facilities issues promptly.
- Control store expenses and ensure compliance with internal procedures and labor laws.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of management and sales experience, preferably in luxury retail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SAP, and other digital tools.
- Excellent leadership, teamwork, and problem solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of sales, operations, and inventory management.
- Ability to travel and work weekends as required.
- Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds.
- Experience in coaching and developing retail teams.
