Associate Manager

Summary

The Associate Manager supports the General Manager in executing strategic plans to drive a profitable store while maintaining brand standards. This role focuses on operational excellence, talent development, client engagement and delivering an elevated customer experience. The Associate Manager acts as a key decision maker in the GM's absence and champions new ways of selling and store initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in analyzing business trends and planning store initiatives
• Educate and coach the team on sales and profit performance tools
• Create and maintain a consistent customer experience aligned to brand expectations
• Develop and execute client development strategy and lead community outreach
• Drive recruitment, networking and talent development activities
• Manage store processes, inventory control and shrink goals
• Champion use of technology and new selling methods to grow sales
• Ensure the sales floor and store standards consistently exceed expectations

Requirements

• College degree or equivalent a plus
• Retail management or similar high-volume specialty experience preferred
• Strong communication, business acumen and planning/time management skills
• Proven track record of building and maintaining customer and team relationships
• Ability to operate register and perform physical tasks including standing and lifting up to 30 lbs
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and occasional travel
• Comfort coaching and developing employees with a focus on performance
