Beauty Counter Manager

Summary

The Beauty Counter Manager leads sales and customer service for an assigned luxury beauty brand at the store counter, combining hands-on selling with product education. This role delivers personalized makeup applications and skincare consultations, drives counter performance through in-store and digital selling, and fosters long-term customer relationships. The manager also coordinates vendor events and ensures the counter is organized and customer-ready.

Responsibilities

• Perform makeup applications and skincare analyses, recommending products based on customer goals
• Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital tools, including text and social media
• Manage scheduling and execution of vendor events, promotions, and counter activities
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to maximize business results
• Handle sales transactions, refunds, exchanges, and open new customer rewards accounts
• Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming, inclusive customer experience and maintain counter organization and cleanliness

Requirements

• Passion for beauty, makeup application, skincare, and current industry trends
• Proven ability to connect with customers, handle concerns with empathy, and build a client following
• Strong multitasking, organization, follow-through, and drive to meet sales goals in a commissioned environment
• Comfort using networking and digital tools for customer engagement
• Flexible availability including evenings and weekends and ability to stand and move for extended periods; occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
