Summary
The Associate Manager supports the General Manager in strategic planning and executing initiatives to ensure a profitable store. This role drives operational excellence, talent development, customer experience, inventory control and maintains brand standards in a high-volume retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Support General Manager in analyzing business trends and strategic planning for the store
- Educate and coach team on sales and profit performance tools
- Create and maintain a consistent customer experience aligned to brand expectations
- Assist in store client development strategy and lead community outreach
- Execute talent strategy and collaborate on hiring and development
- Drive networking and recruitment activities in the market
- Manage store processes and execution including inventory control to meet shrink goals
- Champion use of new technology and selling techniques to drive results
- Ensure sales floor and store standards exceed expectations
Requirements
- Retail management or similar industry experience preferred
- College degree or equivalent a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and staff
- Ability to operate register and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 30 lbs and standing for long periods
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends and possible travel
- Proven track record of building and maintaining positive working relationships
- Business acumen with strong planning and time management skills
