Associate Manager

Summary

As the Associate Manager, you support the General Manager in creating and executing strategic plans to ensure a profitable store. You serve as a key decision maker in the GM's absence and are responsible for driving operational excellence, optimizing talent, and maintaining brand standards. The role focuses on sales performance, client development, inventory control, and delivering a consistent customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager with business analysis, strategic planning and execution for the store.
• Coach and educate the team on sales, profit performance tools and the store vision.
• Lead client development initiatives and community outreach in the market.
• Execute talent strategy, including recruitment, coaching, feedback and development.
• Manage store processes and execution, including inventory control to achieve shrink goals.
• Champion adoption of new selling technologies and company shopping initiatives.
• Ensure sales floor and store standards consistently meet brand expectations.

Requirements

• College degree or equivalent a plus; retail management or similar high-volume specialty experience preferred.
• Proven track record of building customer and team relationships and driving store results.
• Strong business acumen, planning and time-management skills.
• Ability to operate register, stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and occasional travel.
