Summary
The Associate Manager supports the General Manager in strategic planning and execution to ensure a profitable store while maintaining brand standards. This role helps lead talent development, community outreach, inventory control, and new selling techniques to drive business results and deliver a consistent customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Support General Manager in analyzing business trends and creating strategic plans for the store
- Educate and coach the team on sales and profit performance tools
- Create and uphold a consistent customer experience aligned to brand expectations
- Assist in client development strategy and lead community outreach
- Execute talent strategy and participate in recruiting and networking activities
- Engage in ongoing talent development conversations and provide coaching and feedback
- Manage store processes and execution including inventory control to achieve shrink goals
- Champion use of new technology and selling techniques to drive results
- Ensure sales floor and store standards consistently exceed expectations
Requirements
- College degree or equivalent a plus
- Retail management or similar industry experience in a high-volume specialty environment preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and store personnel
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 30 lbs and standing for long periods
- Ability to operate register and navigate sales floor and stock areas
- Flexible availability including days evenings weekends and possible travel
- Proven track record of building positive working relationships with customers and team
- Business acumen with strong planning and prioritization skills
