The Store Manager will oversee a 1,200 sq ft shop, driving day-to-day operations, elevating the client experience, and maximizing sales performance. This role combines strategic vision with hands-on leadership, adapting to lean winter staffing and high-volume summer seasons. Year-round responsibilities include building local relationships, curating personalized styling experiences, and leading a seasonal team to achieve ambitious growth goals.
Responsibilities
- Drive annual sales targets by delivering personalized, service-focused experiences and expanding a top-tier client book.
- Conduct proactive off-season outreach to key markets to sustain and grow business year-round.
- Oversee all store operations, including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, inventory management, and security protocols.
- Maintain impeccable store standards: visual merchandising, cleanliness, organization, and fitting room experience.
- Recruit, train, schedule, and coach seasonal staff, ensuring optimal coverage during peak and off-peak periods.
- Act as a local ambassador by planning in-store events, pop-ups, and partnerships to drive community engagement.
- Monitor and report key KPIs, identify improvement opportunities, and implement solutions in collaboration with leadership.
Requirements
- 5+ years of store management or senior leadership experience in contemporary or luxury women’s apparel or accessories.
- Proven track record in a clienteling-driven environment with strong styling skills and a meaningful client book.
- Experience managing seasonal teams and fluctuating traffic patterns in resort or destination markets preferred.
- Mature, self-driven, and highly accountable with the ability to operate independently during quieter months.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and strong business acumen to identify and pursue growth opportunities.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in POS systems and clienteling or CRM tools.
