Summary

The Associate, Visual Merchandising supports the Boutique in maintaining CHANEL’s brand image and elevating the client experience. Reporting to the Boutique Director with a dotted line to the Regional VM Manager, this in-store role expedites the selling process through visual display maintenance and collaboration with the selling and operations teams. The role requires independent work, attention to detail, and a flexible schedule to support events, launches, and store needs.

Responsibilities

• Change mannequins and update displays to support selling advisors and client requests
• Pull, replenish, and substitute merchandise on the selling floor as needed
• Serve as point of contact for VM when the VM Lead is unavailable, including during holidays and weekends
• Support operations with product prep for floor moves and collection launches, including preparing display items
• Update and maintain digital photo files and window documentation (SKU, price, size) for VM maintenance and selling team reference
• Assist with implementation of events, sales, seasonal installs, and corporate initiatives
• Communicate effectively with the boutique selling team and management

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of related experience in retail merchandising or visual display
• Basic knowledge of retail operations, display, and merchandising
• Experience with basic computer software and digital photography
• Minimum associate degree, preferably in a fashion-related major
• Able to work on a ladder and lift 30-40 lb; may include overhead lifting, pulling, and pushing items up to 25 lb
• Flexible schedule with availability for late nights, weekends, and some holidays
• Front-of-house, full-time in-store presence required to support client sales and service
