Summary

The Beauty Counter Manager leads a dedicated beauty brand counter, combining sales and coaching to maximize results and create personalized customer experiences. This role includes performing makeup applications and skincare consultations, managing counter operations and vendor events, and driving customer loyalty through in-store and digital selling. The manager balances hands-on selling with mentoring the team to achieve sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Perform makeup applications and skincare analyses, recommending products to meet customers' beauty goals
• Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital selling tools, including text and social media
• Manage scheduling, execution of vendor events and promotions, and maintain strong vendor relationships
• Handle sales transactions, refunds, exchanges, and assist customers with Nordstrom Rewards account enrollment
• Maintain a customer-ready counter through organization, cleanliness, and inventory upkeep
• Keep current on beauty trends and participate in trainings provided by brand partners

Requirements

• Passion for beauty, makeup application, skincare, and excellent customer service skills
• Ability to connect with customers, handle concerns with empathy, and contribute to a positive team environment
• Strong multitasking, organization, follow-through, and ownership of responsibilities
• Drive to achieve sales goals and willingness to use networking and technology for selling
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends, based on business needs
• Ability to continuously move for 6-8 hours per shift and regularly lift items up to 25 pounds
