The Beauty Counter Manager leads sales and customer experience for an assigned beauty brand within the department, combining makeup and skincare consultation with coaching and merchandising to drive results. This role balances selling, teaching customers, and managing vendor events while maintaining counter presentation and customer loyalty through in-store and digital tools.
Responsibilities
- Perform makeup applications and skincare analyses to recommend products based on customer goals
- Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital selling tools including text and social media
- Manage scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to maximize business results
- Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive customer environment
- Handle sales transactions including refunds and exchanges and open new customer accounts
- Maintain counter organization, cleanliness, and customer-ready presentation
- Stay current on beauty trends, products, and industry knowledge through trainings
Requirements
- Passion for customer service and beauty including makeup application and skincare
- Excellent ability to connect with customers and proactively handle concerns
- Strong multitasking, organization, and follow-through skills
- Drive to achieve sales goals and interest in using networking and technology
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative
- Ability to stand and move continuously for 6-8 hours and perform frequent bending and reaching
- Ability to lift regularly up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
