The Beauty Counter Manager provides personalized beauty experiences, drives sales for assigned luxury beauty brands, and leads counter operations at the store. This role balances selling and teaching, manages vendor events and relationships, and uses in-store and digital tools to build customer loyalty.
Responsibilities
- Perform makeup applications and skincare analyses and recommend products based on customer goals
- Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital selling tools
- Manage scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to maximize results
- Manage sales transactions, refunds, exchanges and open new customer loyalty accounts
- Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming inclusive environment
- Maintain department organization, cleanliness and customer readiness
- Stay current on beauty trends and product knowledge through trainings
Requirements
- Passion for customer service and beauty including makeup application and skincare
- Excellent ability to connect with customers and handle customer concerns
- Strong multitasking, organization and follow-through skills
- Drive to achieve sales goals and use networking and technology
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- High level of ownership, accountability and initiative
- Ability to continuously move for 6-8 hours and perform frequent bending reaching and lifting
- Able to lift regularly up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
