The Beauty Counter Manager leads a branded counter within the Nordstrom Beauty Department, delivering personalized makeup and skincare experiences while driving sales. This role balances selling, coaching, and operational responsibilities to maximize counter performance and customer loyalty. The manager partners with vendors and uses in-store and digital tools to meet business goals.

Responsibilities

• Perform makeup applications and skincare analyses, recommending products to meet customer beauty goals
• Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital selling tools including text and social media
• Schedule and execute vendor events and promotions and maintain strong vendor relationships
• Manage sales transactions, refunds, exchanges, and open Nordstrom Rewards accounts to build customer loyalty
• Coach and collaborate with team members to create an inclusive, customer-ready environment
• Maintain counter organization, cleanliness, and merchandising standards

Requirements

• Passion for beauty trends, makeup application, and skincare with strong customer service skills
• Ability to connect with customers, handle concerns proactively, and contribute to a positive team culture
• Proven drive to achieve sales goals and comfort working in a commissioned sales environment
• Strong multitasking, organization, and follow-through; flexible availability including evenings and weekends
• Physical ability to stand and move continuously for 6-8 hours, with frequent bending, reaching, and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
