Summary
Lead the Fashion Valley store opening and manage overall store operations, staff, merchandise, and customer service to achieve sales and operational targets. Responsible for full profit and loss ownership, maintaining merchandising and operational standards, and delivering monthly business reporting to regional and NY management. Build, develop and retain a high-performing team through recruiting, coaching, performance reviews and career development.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily store operations, sales performance and full P&L responsibility, driving results to meet or exceed sales budgets.
- Recruit, induct and develop staff; conduct one-to-one reviews, manage performance through MPP and retain talent through coaching and development.
- Oversee merchandising and store visual standards in partnership with the Visual Merchandiser to ensure brand presentation and store appearance.
- Manage inventory and stock processes using Retail Pro, including cycle/physical inventory, SKU and model stock levels; coordinate ordering and OTB with the Buyer.
- Resolve customer service issues (repairs, returns, defective merchandise) and support clienteling to strengthen customer relationships.
- Handle administrative responsibilities including scheduling, payroll/timesheets (Kronos), documentation and reporting to corporate and regional offices.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of store management experience, preferably in a luxury retail setting.
- Business school, university degree or equivalent professional experience; computer literate and able to learn retail systems.
- Proven ability to drive sales, manage P&L and deliver operational excellence.
- Strong leadership, team-building, coaching and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience with inventory/POS systems (Retail Pro) and payroll/timekeeping systems (Kronos); organized and results oriented.
