Job Description

Summary

As a Beauty Sales associate at the NYC Flagship, you will be part of the Nordstrom Beauty community, creating personalized beauty experiences for customers. You will engage with customers to understand their needs and maximize sales in luxury beauty brands, both in-store and digitally.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct makeup applications and skincare analyses, recommending products based on customer beauty goals.
  • Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all customers.
  • Set and achieve sales goals for both in-store and digital selling using effective selling tools.
  • Book appointments and support in-store beauty events and services.
  • Maintain department organization and cleanliness to keep it customer-ready.
  • Stay updated with the latest beauty trends, products, and industry knowledge through training.
  • Manage sales, refunds, exchanges, and build customer loyalty by opening new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts.
  • Adapt to performing duties in different departments as needed.
Requirements
  • Passion for customer service and beauty, including trends, makeup application, and skincare.
  • Excellent ability to connect with customers and handle concerns proactively.
  • Empathy and respect for all customers, providing a supportive environment during makeup and skincare application.
  • Strong multitasking, organization, and follow-through skills.
  • Drive to achieve sales goals, with interest in using networking and technology.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings and weekends.
