Beauty Stylist - Westchester

Summary

Provide one-on-one beauty consultations and demonstrations to drive sales across brands, using artistry techniques and appointment based selling while building customer relationships and maintaining product expertise. Thrive in a commissioned sales environment and support both in-store and digital selling efforts using selling tools and social media.

Responsibilities

• Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital channels
• Perform beauty demonstrations and provide expert product recommendations
• Initiate service consultations using open ended questions to assess customer needs
• Grow sales through appointment based selling and technology use
• Follow up with customers to build lasting relationships and encourage repeat purchases
• Create and host in store events and network in the community
• Open new customer accounts and utilize Nordstrom Rewards to drive loyalty
• Maintain strong vendor relationships and stay current on brand focuses and products

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of beauty industry experience
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department needs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organization, follow through, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• High level of ownership, accountability and initiative
• Comfort with frequent physical movement and manual tasks during shifts
• Ability to lift items regularly up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
