Summary
Support sales and profitability for the Mens product line by contributing to assortment development and buyer strategy. Provide sales analysis, marketplace trend insight, and manage operational functions across the product lifecycle and buy process while collaborating with cross functional teams in a hybrid corporate environment.
Responsibilities
- Attend and participate in buying and business related meetings
- Shop parent line and competitive marketplace for trend and product opportunities and present findings
- Perform style and color analysis and present findings to the Buyer
- Assist with assortment recommendations and maintain assortment planning tools such as paginations and buy tools
- Ensure accuracy of style information submitted to production and merchandising
- Define items in system to correct brand season and delivery
- Enter weekly price changes and prepare re-ticketing and price change task forms
- Review and manage season coding for accuracy and consistency
- Enter purchase orders and manage selling reports and assortment tools
Requirements
- 1-2 years of buying or merchandising experience preferred
- High level of accuracy attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and solution oriented approach
- General understanding of customer marketplace and product lifecycle
- Ability to complete current and historical business analysis to support recommendations
- Demonstrated leadership potential
- Proficiency with systems such as GFE Island Pacific Microstrategy DSS and Microsoft Office
