Summary

Provides personalized beauty consultations and product recommendations to customers in a department store cosmetics environment. Demonstrates product knowledge across skin care, color, and fragrance categories and drives sales through education and service. Builds client relationships through professional presentation and ongoing follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide one-on-one beauty consultations and product recommendations.
• Demonstrate and apply cosmetics, skincare, and fragrance samples as appropriate.
• Meet individual and store sales goals through clienteling, upselling, and product education.
• Maintain merchandising, sampling stations, and inventory replenishment on the sales floor.
• Process sales transactions and assist with returns and exchanges according to store procedures.

Requirements

• 2+ years of retail or beauty sales experience, preferably in cosmetics or fragrance.
• Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to build rapport.
• Knowledge of makeup, skincare, and fragrance products or willingness to learn quickly.
• Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays; flexible part-time schedule.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
