Summary
The Curating Associate supports gallery visual merchandising and the client experience in a luxury home furnishings gallery in Pasadena, CA. This role partners with Gallery Leadership and Curators to execute creative vision, drive sales, and uphold high visual and presentation standards.
Responsibilities
- Represent the brand through polished communication, professional appearance, and refined taste
- Collaborate with Gallery Leadership, Curators, and corporate partners to execute creative direction and elevate the client experience
- Coordinate and execute merchandise floor sets and maintain the visual integrity of the gallery
- Train and mentor the gallery team on floor sets, signage, graphics updates, gallery maintenance, recovery, and cleanliness
- Assist in maintaining inventory integrity and audit planograms and visual maps
- Drive team engagement, empowerment, and accountability to achieve results
Requirements
- 2+ years of visual merchandising experience in luxury retail or a related field
- Proficiency with Mac OS, iOS devices, Microsoft Office, and Google Applications; strong technical ability to use inventory and tracking platforms
- Strategic, highly organized, results oriented, with meticulous attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, creatively problem solve, and embrace change
- Ability to lift and mobilize items up to 30 lbs, maneuver around gallery and stockroom, basic knowledge of operating power tools, and perform prolonged standing, bending, and climbing
