Summary
The Designated Selling Associate sells accessories and sunglasses, providing exceptional one-on-one customer service, building relationships, and driving sales through in-store and digital channels. This role emphasizes product knowledge, merchandising, appointment based selling, and collaboration with peers to represent the brand and meet sales goals.
Responsibilities
- Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital selling using selling tools and reservations
- Build and maintain lasting relationships with customers and grow Nordstrom Rewards accounts
- Provide personalized style guidance and product education to customers
- Conduct and participate in product knowledge meetings and trainings
- Drive appointment based selling during events and non event timeframes
- Perform merchandising tasks including stocking, re merchandising, display setup, price markdowns and transfers
- Provide product feedback to the district manager to inform assortment decisions
- Collaborate with DSAs, Stylists and surrounding departments to support business goals
- Be flexible to perform duties in other departments as needed

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with customers
- Ability to excel in a competitive team environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Flexible availability to work a schedule based on business needs
- Capability to read sales reporting and act on goals
- Strong product and fashion knowledge with confidence selling across price points
- Organizational skills to follow up strategically with customers on wardrobe needs

- Ability to support merchandising and maintain a customer ready department
