Summary
The Designated Selling Associate provides high level customer service and expert product knowledge to drive sales and cultivate lasting client relationships. This role focuses on appointment and in-store selling, merchandising, and supporting brand education while meeting sales goals and using digital selling tools.
Responsibilities
- Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital selling using selling tools including text and social media
- Build and maintain lasting relationships with customers and grow Nordstrom Rewards accounts
- Deliver personalized styling advice on fit price and wardrobe value
- Conduct and participate in product knowledge meetings and trainings
- Support merchandising activities including stocking remerchandising displays and price markdowns
- Drive appointment-based selling during events and non-event periods
- Provide product feedback to the district manager to influence assortment
- Collaborate with other DSAs stylists and surrounding departments to support sales
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish customer rapport
- Ability to excel in a competitive team environment and prioritize tasks in a fast paced setting
- Flexible availability to work varied schedules based on business needs
- Familiarity reading sales reporting and using it to meet goals
- Strong product and fashion knowledge with ability to educate customers and peers
- Confidence selling across high and low price points and articulating value
- Organizational skills to follow up strategically with customers on wardrobe needs
- Ability to continuously move for 6-8 hours and lift up to 25 pounds
