Summary
The Designated Selling Associate is a salesperson focused on driving sales and championing assigned brands through one-on-one customer engagement, product knowledge, merchandising, and appointment-based selling. This role builds customer relationships, meets sales goals for in-store and digital channels, and supports department readiness through merchandising and inventory tasks.
Responsibilities
- Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital selling using selling tools including text and social media
- Build and maintain lasting relationships with customers and grow Nordstrom Rewards accounts
- Provide personalized style and fit guidance and educate customers on brand products
- Conduct product knowledge meetings and share product feedback with leadership
- Drive appointment-based selling during event and non-event periods
- Support department customer readiness through stocking, remerchandising, displays, markdowns and transfers
- Be flexible to perform duties in departments other than the hired brand when needed
- Read and use sales reporting to inform selling and priorities
- Participate in trainings and seek product and fashion knowledge

- Flexible schedule to meet business needs
- Confidence selling across high and low price points and demonstrating product value
- Organizational skills to follow up strategically on customer wardrobe needs
- Ability to read sales reporting and relate it to goals
- Physical ability to be on feet and move for 6-8 hours with frequent bending and reaching
- Frequent use of hands for grasping and manipulation and ability to lift up to 25 pounds
