Summary
The Designated Selling Associate in Women's Ready To Wear provides one-on-one customer service, drives sales for assigned brands through in-store and digital selling, and maintains product knowledge and merchandising standards. This role focuses on building customer relationships, meeting sales goals, and supporting department presentation and inventory tasks.
Responsibilities
- Set and achieve individual sales goals for in-store and digital channels using selling tools including text and social media
- Build and maintain lasting customer relationships through appointments and follow up
- Provide style consultation and honest feedback on fit value and wardrobe coordination
- Participate in product knowledge meetings and educate peers on brand trends and merchandise
- Support department operations including stocking remerchandising displays price markdowns and merchandise transfers
- Drive Nordstrom Rewards growth by opening new customer accounts
- Contribute product feedback to the department manager to inform assortment decisions
- Work flexibly across departments as business needs require
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to cultivate customer relationships
- Ability to work in a competitive team environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Comfort with appointment based selling and using digital selling tools
- Knowledge of fashion product and ability to convey value across price points
- Organizational skills to strategically follow up and advise customers on wardrobe needs
- Ability to read sales reporting and relate results to goals
- Physical ability to stand and move continuously perform bending lifting and reaching; lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
