SummaryAs a Designer for Collection Sweaters, you will assist the Design Lead in creating all sweater designs for the Women's Collection, from concept to sales, sample delivery, and pre-production approval within calendar milestones.
Responsibilities- Research seasonal inspiration and trends, preparing all supporting design materials for consideration.
- Partner with internal departments for trim, embroidery, prints, and color.
- Maintain and organize sweater designs for the season for future reference.
- Hand sketch sweater designs for design presentations.
- Manage flat and detail sketches for construction hand-off to Tech Design and Production teams.
- Prepare artwork and pattern/stitch layouts.
- Organize daily tasks and keep accurate notes of meetings and product changes.
- Assist in creating seasonal concept boards, sketching, presentation setup, and detailing of products.
- Communicate with merchandising, product development, and production colleagues.
- Ensure products are designed and developed in accordance with the calendar, quality, and cost.
Requirements- Strong design skills with the ability to communicate ideas through detailed illustrator and hand-rendered sketches.
- High level of computer proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, PowerPoint, Excel, WebPDM, and Point Carre.
- Ability to work well with others and build a positive work environment.
- Industry experience in sweater and/or cut and sew knit design preferred.
