Job Description

Summary

As a Designer Designated Salesperson at Garden State Plaza, you will be passionate about fashion, working closely with customers to drive sales and champion the brand you represent. You will lead in customer service, product knowledge, merchandising, and selling, while cultivating relationships with both existing and new customers.

Responsibilities
  • Set and achieve sales goals for both in-store and digital selling using effective selling tools.
  • Build lasting relationships with customers and provide honest feedback about style and fit.
  • Seek fashion and product knowledge to build expertise and educate peers on brand trends.
  • Conduct product knowledge meetings and provide feedback to improve store assortment.
  • Drive business through appointment-based selling and maintain department readiness.
  • Grow sales by opening new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with customers.
  • Ability to excel in a competitive team environment and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
  • Flexible schedule based on business needs and ability to read sales reporting.
  • Confidence with high/low price points and understanding of customer wardrobe needs.
  • Strong organizational skills to strategically follow up with customers.
