Summary
The Designer contributes to creation of immersive brand driven retail environments across design and construction projects, translating vision into physical spaces and producing high quality design documentation with minimal oversight. This role partners with senior design leadership, vendors, and technical teams to ensure safe innovative customer centered designs across stores and specialty concepts. The Designer leads prototyping of fixtures finishes and architectural elements while maintaining documentation libraries and material research.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Senior Design Manager to develop brand aligned design concepts for retail environments
- Contribute to all phases of design development from intake through execution and post installation follow up
- Translate design intent into clear actionable documentation for production partners and vendors
- Research and curate materials finishes and FF&E and maintain materials library
- Partner with technical designers to ensure safety innovation and customer focus
- Lead development and prototyping of fixtures finishes and architectural elements
- Maintain standards and best practices for drawings 3D models and documentation
- Foster vendor relationships and ensure seamless production execution
- Manage time effectively to meet productivity goals
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years experience in architecture interior or retail design
- Working knowledge of building systems and technologies
- Intermediate design sensibility and process understanding
- Understanding of FF&E costs performance and basic ability to create FF&E specifications
- Expert understanding of design and planning ordinances
- Proficiency in Office Suite CAD 3D rendering tools and Adobe Creative Suite
- Self managed with strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to drive execution and deliver high results
