Summary
The Facilities Technician 3 leads preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs for building and material handling systems while supporting Operations and managing maintenance projects. This role trains and mentors service technicians, designs maintenance solutions for complex problems, and communicates equipment status to leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead and audit preventative maintenance procedures for facility equipment
- Troubleshoot maintain and repair material handling systems and conveyors
- Diagnose electrical and electronic control systems using test equipment
- Maintain and troubleshoot relay logic ladder diagrams and control components
- Safely operate forklifts scissor and boom lifts and hand tools for system support
- Create and close out work orders with labor hours equipment maintenance and parts used
- Develop work plans for emergency repair of critical assets
- Mentor and train technicians providing guidance and training plans
- Communicate equipment operation and maintenance information to management and teams
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience with conveyors electrical systems and building maintenance
- Associate degree or higher in mechanical or electrical field preferred
- Advanced knowledge of operation and repair of material handling equipment
- Advanced knowledge of power pneumatic and hydraulic tools
- Basic knowledge of control systems and PLCs preferred
- Ability to use smartphones tablets computers web applications and building automation systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 49lbs and stand and walk during shifts up to 12 hours
