Summary
Lead and coordinate facility maintenance and housekeeping for a gallery location, ensuring world-class guest service and upkeep of equipment and grounds. Oversee building systems, safety compliance, contractor engagements, and budget monitoring while supporting hiring and training of maintenance staff. Provide hands-on leadership in a high-standard operational environment with a focus on process improvement and team building.
Responsibilities
- Lead, plan, and coordinate facility maintenance and housekeeping activities to maintain optimal service levels
- Oversee building and grounds maintenance including landscaping, parking lot upkeep, and exterior maintenance
- Manage HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, roofing, dock equipment, and fire protection systems
- Maintain a safe work environment by observing and enforcing OSHA and related safety requirements
- Interview, hire, and train maintenance and housekeeping associates
- Forecast capital expenditures and assist in negotiating contracts for repairs and services
- Monitor budgeting and purchasing to ensure value for supplies and repair parts
- Arrange and coordinate contractor services for specialized repairs
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in maintenance leadership in a high standard operational environment
- Hands-on experience repairing material handling equipment
- Demonstrated ability to build teams and manage decision-making processes
- Strong problem-solving skills with emphasis on process improvement
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel
- Familiarity with RF systems
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
