Summary
The General Manager is the owner of the store business and brand ambassador accountable for overall store performance, client experience, team development and achieving sales targets. This role requires presence on the sales floor, leadership of the store team, driving omnichannel initiatives and managing store operations to meet budget and KPI goals.
Responsibilities
- Drive and maximize sales performance and meet store operating budget.
- Develop business plans and sales strategies with merchandising and operations teams.
- Lead and coach the store team to exceed KPIs and ensure succession and internal growth.
- Be present on the sales floor to ensure exceptional client service and private appointment culture.
- Foster clienteling initiatives and events to increase loyalty and spending.
- Represent the brand in the local market and identify opportunities to increase footfall and attract new clients.
- Ensure displays follow company guidelines and maximize sales.
- Manage cash activity, inventory, logistics and required reporting to head office.
- Cooperate with retail events and local stakeholders to organize events and set client targets.
Requirements
- Proven leadership and team management experience in retail; ability to motivate and persuade.
- Strong customer service mindset and natural ability to welcome clients.
- Organized, detail oriented and business driven with market and product knowledge.
- Experience with omnichannel retail and achieving KPIs and sales targets.
- Ability to recruit and attract top talent through networking and scouting.
- Business or retail management degree or equivalent is a plus.
- Interest in luxury, fashion, art and design.
- Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
