Summary

Interim Assistant Manager responsible for supporting the department manager in driving sales, coaching and developing the team, maintaining merchandising standards, managing inventory accuracy, and delivering exceptional customer service in the women's and men's shoes department.

Responsibilities

• Recruit hire train develop and motivate department sales team
• Assist department manager in achieving volume and productivity goals through business planning
• Coach teach and lead by example to ensure outstanding customer service
• Actively sell on the floor to build customer relationships and loyalty
• Ensure merchandising and presentation standards are met
• Support accurate inventory management and shrinkage control
• Collaborate with store leaders and divisional merchandisers
• Set and achieve personal and team sales goals

Requirements

• Proven track record of sales results and productivity
• Competitive drive and ability to succeed in a commission based environment
• Experience developing and maintaining productive relationships with management and merchandisers
• Strong organizational skills and follow through
• Ability to teach coach and lead a sales team
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Willingness to work retail hours and support store operations
