Interim Beauty Sales - South Coast Plaza

Summary

Provide personalized beauty experiences and drive sales for luxury skincare and makeup at the South Coast Plaza Nordstrom. Engage customers through in-person consultations and digital selling to build loyalty and meet sales targets. Maintain a clean, organized department and stay current on beauty trends and product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform makeup applications and skincare analyses, recommending products based on customer goals
• Engage customers to understand needs and build a customer following both in-store and digitally
• Set and achieve sales goals using selling tools, including text and social media
• Book appointments and drive sales for in-store beauty events and services
• Manage sales transactions, refunds, and exchanges and enroll customers in rewards accounts
• Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment and keep the department customer-ready

Requirements

• Passion for beauty, makeup application, skincare, and current industry trends
• Strong ability to connect with customers, handle concerns proactively, and contribute to a positive team environment
• Empathy and respect for customers during makeup and skincare services
• Excellent multitasking, organization, and follow-through skills with a drive to meet sales goals
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
• Ability to stand and move continuously for 6-8 hours and lift items up to 25 pounds
