Junior Quality Assurance Analyst

Summary

The Junior Quality Assurance Analyst evaluates first-run production and product development test samples to ensure David Yurman product meets quality standards. The role performs analytical testing including XRF and diamond scans, documents findings, and supports sample management and quality reviews. The analyst works closely with the Quality Assurance manager and cross-functional teams to communicate results and support corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Participate in first production approval process, including inspection, documentation, analysis, and communication of evaluation results
• Perform XRF analysis on incoming components and finished goods
• Perform scanning of diamonds in first production goods
• Participate in product development test reviews and provide feedback and approvals
• Coordinate sample selection and transition samples into the sample library; maintain accurate inventory
• Assist on other QA or related projects as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years of jewelry experience
• Knowledge of jewelry inspection processes and strong attention to detail
• Ability to work on multiple short- and long-term projects and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and written communication skills
• GIA or similar gemology certification preferred; Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
