Technical Designer, Polo Men's Performance Knits

Summary

The Technical Designer creates, maintains, and approves tech packs in PLM to guide suppliers and factories in producing samples and production-ready garments. The role partners with Design, Product Management, Pattern Making, global sourcing partners, and suppliers to ensure products meet design intent, fit, construction, quality, and calendar requirements.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain accurate, complete tech packs in PLM using departmental tools, templates, and standards.
• Document measurements, construction details, fit requirements, sketches, imagery, and product data.
• Lead tech pack reviews and maintain assigned tech packs through production approval.
• Partner with cross-functional teams and suppliers throughout the product lifecycle.
• Support fit sessions, sample reviews, and product evaluations.
• Monitor workload, product status, and calendar milestones, and contribute to departmental initiatives and process improvements.

Requirements

• Degree or certification in apparel manufacturing, design, or a related field, or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, and apparel manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator; working knowledge of Gerber, PLM, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Knowledge of Browzwear or other 3D applications preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
