Summary
The Maintenance Technician II leads and mentors a facilities team to ensure a safe, well maintained store environment across multiple store locations. This role supports the Facility Manager by performing preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, vertical transportation, and building systems and assists with administrative and vendor coordination tasks.
Responsibilities
- Lead and perform planned and on demand preventive maintenance and repairs on critical and noncritical equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues and perform advanced troubleshooting on building systems
- Operate and monitor building controls and EMCS, respond to alarms and verify proper building operation
- Conduct equipment and building rounds, identify and report malfunctions, and update CMMS records
- Perform manual labor tasks including lifting, loading, and moving materials
- Assist with parts ordering, PO creation, vendor management, and project meeting attendance
- Mentor and train other technicians and delegate workorders as needed
- Coordinate with outside contractors, property managers, and store leadership
- Promote and follow safety procedures including LOTO, PPE, and working at heights
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED; vocational or associate degree preferred
- 5 years of hands on facilities experience with emphasis in mechanical maintenance
- 5+ years conducting predictive and preventive maintenance
- 5+ years experience with HVAC, refrigeration, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs
- Ability to troubleshoot low voltage and logical device IO functions
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and experience with CMMS and ordering systems (Coupa)
- Knowledge of computer networking systems and electromechanical operation
- Ability to work without supervision and maintain a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- Ability to lift 50 lbs or more and perform physical tasks such as climbing and stooping
