Summary
The Maintenance Technician II leads and mentors a facilities team to maintain a safe, fully operational store environment, supporting the Facility Manager across multiple stores. The role performs preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, vertical transportation, building systems, and other equipment while assisting with vendor coordination and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Lead and perform on-demand and scheduled preventive maintenance for critical and non-critical equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical building system issues and EMCS alarms
- Operate and monitor building controls and perform equipment rounds and readings
- Delegate workorders and mentor other technicians on proper procedures and documentation
- Assist with parts ordering, PO creation, vendor management, and project meetings
- Respond to location emergencies and support property manager or landlord coordination
- Maintain CMMS records and parts inventory accurately
- Perform manual labor tasks including lifting and moving materials and follow safety procedures
- Support training of new employees on equipment and systems
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED; vocational or college degree preferred
- 5 years minimum hands-on facilities experience with mechanical maintenance
- 5+ years conducting predictive and preventive maintenance procedures
- 5+ years experience with HVAC, refrigeration, carpentry, plumbing, electrical and mechanical repairs
- Ability to troubleshoot low voltage and logical device IO functions
- Experience with CMMS and ordering systems such as Coupa
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office at an intermediate level
- Ability to work varied schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and off-hours
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting 50 lbs or more
