Summary
The Maintenance Technician II leads and mentors a facilities team to maintain a safe well maintained store environment across multiple Nordstrom locations within a business node. This role supports the Facility Manager by performing preventative and reactive maintenance on HVAC, vertical transportation, building systems, and store equipment while coordinating vendors and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Lead and perform planned and on demand preventative maintenance on critical and non critical equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical mechanical and HVAC issues and perform repairs
- Operate and monitor building controls EMCS and building systems and respond to alarms
- Conduct equipment and building rounds readings and document findings
- Delegate tasks and mentor other technicians and support technical training
- Perform manual labor tasks including lifting loading and moving materials
- Assist with parts ordering PO creation vendor management and CMMS updates
- Communicate and coordinate work with store leadership contractors vendors and landlords
- Promote and follow safety procedures including LOTO PPE and working at heights
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED; vocational or associate degree preferred
- 5 years of hands on facilities mechanical maintenance experience
- 5+ years conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures
- Experience with HVAC refrigeration carpentry plumbing electrical and mechanical repairs
- Ability to troubleshoot low voltage signals and logical devices
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CMMS systems and ordering systems
- Knowledge of computer networking systems and electromechanical maintenance
- Ability to work without supervision manage multiple deadlines and maintain flexible schedule
- Ability to lift carry heavy loads up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
