SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Facilities Manager at the House of Dior, New York location to manage and maintain our high-end retail boutique's facilities. The ideal candidate will ensure that our indoor environment is safe, efficient, and meets the luxury standards of our brand and legal guidelines. This role involves overseeing HVAC systems, lighting, plumbing, indoor landscaping, and spa facilities.
Responsibilities- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, elevators, alterations equipment, audio/video, and lighting.
- Oversee the housekeeping contract and CAM responsibilities.
- Coordinate in-house setup and breakdown for events in collaboration with corporate.
- Maintain and repair spa facilities, including four showers, to ensure optimal performance and hygiene standards.
- Oversee indoor landscaping, ensuring plant health and aesthetics.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and customers.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and service.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Assist in budget management for maintenance and repair operations.
Requirements- At least 5 years of experience in building engineering or facilities maintenance, preferably in a luxury retail or hospitality environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field preferred.
- Full-time position, 40 hours per week, with potential for overtime.
- Must be available for on-call emergencies and weekend shifts as needed.
- Proficient in HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Familiarity with building management systems (BMS) and energy management systems.
- Knowledge of landscaping maintenance and care.
- Certifications preferred but not mandatory: Universal EPA Certification, OSHA 30-hour Safety Training, Building Operator Certification (BOC) or equivalent, HVAC Technician Certification, Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) or Facilities Management Professional (FMP) preferred.
