Summary
Lead strategic financial planning and analysis for global marketing, driving budget creation, re-forecasting, and monthly reporting. Partner with senior marketing and finance leaders to optimize marketing investments, deliver actionable insights, and support implementation of reporting systems and processes. Mentor junior staff and collaborate with global teams to consolidate worldwide marketing budgets and track spend by channel and category.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage central and regional marketing budgets, including annual plans and multi-year strategic plans.
- Design and implement budget equations for major marketing areas and consolidate worldwide budgets.
- Lead quarterly budget reviews with senior marketing leaders to identify risks and opportunities.
- Analyze global marketing spend MTD and YTD, produce monthly reports with actionable commentary for CFO and CMO.
- Manage approved incremental and reallocated marketing funds and monitor budget performance.
- Oversee monthly reporting and close processes, ensuring accurate expense recording and supported accruals.
- Maintain and improve global marketing trackers and implement ERP and reporting automation initiatives.
- Produce quarterly event ROI reports linking marketing investment to sales impact and present findings to leadership.
- Serve as systems subject matter expert for financial reporting and collaborate with IT and Power BI teams.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of progressive FP&A experience with emphasis on marketing finance.
- Proven ability to collaborate and present to senior management and executive leadership.
- Experience managing multiple complex projects and delivering under tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated coaching and leadership experience of financial professionals.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills with ability to craft financial narratives.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.
- Creative thinker who drives continuous improvement in financial processes.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint and experience with financial planning systems and Power BI.
- MBA or CPA and luxury or retail industry experience preferred.
