Manager Store Merchandise

As a Manager Store Merchandise at Saks Fifth Avenue in Houston, TX, you will oversee all back of the house operational functions and front of the house visual standards. You will ensure the processing, placement, and presentation of merchandise, while maintaining a dynamic shopping environment that supports the sale of full-priced merchandise and overall store profitability. You will also serve as a leader on the floor, prioritizing the customer service experience.

• Hire, train, and develop the Merchandise Operations team.
• Oversee processing of inbound merchandise and ensure new receipts are on the selling floor before store opening.
• Ensure compliance with all Store Audit Standards.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through regular oversight of Inventory exception reports.
• Oversee processing of outbound merchandise transfers and returns to vendors.
• Direct execution of markdowns, price changes, and other operational tasks.
• Lead teams in recruiting and filling open roles with urgency.
• Foster accountability through coaching and performance management.
• Set goals for Associates in alignment with department objectives.
• Develop, motivate, and train your team in all aspects of their role.

• 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a retail environment in visual or merchandising capacity.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to lift and carry boxes (25 - 50 lbs) and maneuver rolling equipment.
• Available to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
