Operations Associate - Madison Avenue

Summary

The Operations Associate is responsible for managing the movement, storage, and documentation of pre-sale merchandise for the Madison Avenue store. This role maintains organized, secure inventory and supports store operations, visual merchandising, and client deliveries. The Associate works closely with sales and management to ensure accurate inventory control and timely fulfillment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory in an efficient, clean, secure, and organized manner
• Support sales staff by locating and providing in-stock merchandise not on the sales floor
• Manage ticketing, inter-store transfers, stock rotations, and incoming/outgoing shipments
• Prepare and complete inventories and cycle counts; participate in inventory reconciliation
• Support visual merchandising and move fixtures, furniture, props, and merchandise as needed
• Coordinate facility and fixture maintenance, cleaning, and repairs when required
• Manage client delivery process, document deliveries, and troubleshoot missing shipments

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, business school, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 5 years of retail experience focused on stock or inventory, preferably in a luxury setting
• Computer literate with ability to learn and use various software packages
• Strong customer service orientation, social perceptiveness, and problem-solving skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills; foreign languages a plus
